thorin-and-twerkteam:

emotional abuse is when someone does something to hurt you, and when you express your feelings, that you’re upset, they turn it around to be something you did to hurt them and they force you to apologize for it, and your feelings, like always, are rendered invalid and silenced, forever damaging the ability to trust others with your feelings because they always are used against you.

this is important because so many people don’t know this

Anonymous asked:
How would Oikawa, Kuroo, Kenma and the Karasuno boys react to a late night/early morning phone call from their lover who just suffered a nightmare?

imaginehaikyuu:

Hinata: “Eeehhh…? _____, are you okay?” His partner explained to him that they had a nightmare, and didn’t feel like they could sleep again, and instantly he seemed to be awake. He smiled into the phone, not caring about how tired he was. “Okay, I’ll stay up with you. What do you want to talk about?”

Kageyama: He had to rub the sleep from his eyes and ask them to repeat what they said before he sad up, leaning against the wall. “A nightmare…. well. What’s a topic you’d like to discuss?”

Daichi: He sat up in his bed, rubbing his eyes as he asked them about their nightmare. He frowned to himself as he heard how scared of it they sounded, and he did his best to soothe them down and convince them to sleep again.

Sugawara: He asked them a lot of questions that he knew would relax them down and keep their mind away from their nightmare, and he laid there smiling as he talked with them.

Tanaka: He woke Saeko up and made her drive him to his partner’s house, where he laid down in bed with them and held them until they fell asleep again.

Nishinoya: His first instinct was to make them laugh, so he did his best to bring up all of the jokes and funny moments he had to try and get them to laugh. And when they did, he smiled in relief.

Asahi: “D-Do you want me to come over? Because I will,” he said into the phone, already getting himself out of bed and walking over to his closet for clothes.

Tsukishima: “I’ll play some music.” He took his headphones and plugged them into his iPod, going to his playlist that was ‘calm’. He held one of the headphones up to the edge of the phone, talking to his partner as the music played in the background.

Yamaguchi: “I’m sorry about your nightmare,” he frowned to himself, trying to find the right words to say. He started going onto as many comforting words as he could to make them feel better.

Kuroo: He never does it much, but he sure as hell can sing. He rolled over onto his side, his free arm under his pillow now. “Here, I’ll sing…” —and he started to sing a lullaby, hoping it out lure his partner into sleep.

Kenma: “Do you want to talk about it…?” He was trying not to be too quiet as he talked with his partner. They said no and he nodded to himself, opening up his DS and starting up his game. “I’ll stay up with you until you sleep, then…”

Oikawa: “Oh no! My _____ is sad and alone!” He whined into the phone, kicking his legs into the air while he laid on his back. “I wish I was there to hold you and pet your hair…”
